STEM Education for Rural School Children from in Ariyalur

The Free STEM Education initiative in Ariyalur aims to empower rural students with hands-on learning experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). By establishing two fully equipped STEM Labs, the program bridges the gap in quality education and inspires young minds to explore innovative technologies, fostering curiosity and creativity.

STEM Workshop Among Girl Children

These schools were selected to ensure that underserved communities in Ariyalur have access to advanced educational resources and opportunities.

Robotics and Applications:

Students are introduced to robotics, covering design, construction, and programming of robots for various tasks.

Basic Electronics:

Students learn foundational concepts such as circuits, components, and their applications in everyday life.

The labs provide students with practical exposure to tools and technologies, encouraging experiential learning.

A unique module introducing the principles of flight, aerodynamics, and aircraft design, sparking interest in aerospace engineering.

Teachers are trained to effectively use the labs and mentor students.

One-Day STEM Workshop:

Conducted across 5 schools in Andimadam and Jayankondam, the workshop specifically focused on girl students. The goal was to sensitize children to various career opportunities in STEM, ignite their curiosity about science, and inspire them with stories of Tamil Nadu’s child innovators who gained global recognition. This initiative motivates rural students to be courageous, curious, and eager to apply scientific concepts in their lives.
